It turns out that I'm an organiser. I've always been a fast worker, so when my work was done, I'd find something to research or organise or tidy. I just can't help myself!

From making a clothing stock room more efficient, to designing a totally new database for film material; whenever I finished my work I'd find a new project to organise.

When my second child was born and I started to look for work outside the home again, I took on a few small cataloguing jobs for friends. Those jobs too, quickly evolved into research project, redesigns and organising.

So I thought, why not make that my thing?

My interest in media began as a child with an unusually strong BBC Radio 4 obsession.

While reading History at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, this radio fixation was fed by co-hosting the Luke, Pedro and Emily Show on CUR1350. Studying modern history increased my appreciation for film as a historical source, which lead to my employment (after a brief stint in the library at the Institute for Historical Research) at the BUFVC on their ‘Cinemagazines and the Projection of Britain’ project. On the completion of the project, I moved to BBC Motion Gallery, working on research and educational projects, until I left for the birth of my first child.

I created Emily Crosby Media when I started my freelance working life. My aim is to provide flexible and practical media solutions for small businesses.

I want to put the media you create to good use, to get your message out, and to make you money.

You have taken a HUGE mental load off of me. There are no words to convey how easy this process has been.
A few emails and my online Thinkific course is up and running. You have been able to troubleshoot any query I may have had. It's been so simple
