Hashtags are really important for increasing the reach of your posts on Instagram, and they can also be used to inject a bit of humour or context to your post. However, this doesn’t work if people can’t read them!

Using ‘camel case’ for your hashtags, will not only make them more readable on the screen, but vitally will also mean that screenreaders used by people who are blind or visually impaired can make sense of their contents, rather than trying to read them as one long word.

Next time you’re adding hashtags to a post, make sure you capitalise the first letter of each word, to make your hashtags as accessible as possible.
